Another nice place for coffee

Our first time here and we definitely enjoyed our coffee. Had ice mocha and latte and it was quite better compared to other cafes in cbd. The atmosphere was quite nice and it was quite busy with people dinning in. Service was friendly. Would love to try their food sometime. Definitely coming back for more.

Coffee is still good

This place used to be a Melbourne instruction but their glory days are long behind now. Portion sizes are tiny, price is exorbitant, wait times are long and staff are less friendly because they've got so much to do. Coffee is still good, though they no longer stand out when every coffee place in Melboure achieves the high local standard already.

Alright experience

I went to this place for a late brunch, and we ordered coffee along with Katsu Sando and Sardines on toast. My experience with the Katsu Sando was rather disappointing. It resembled an ordinary sandwich that you might find at fuel station-lacking in character and with a one dimensional flavour on plate. My wife opted for the Sardines on Toast, but unfortunately, the dish arrived cold and dry. To improve it, we added poached eggs. Overall, I would describe the experience was alright. While ther were some letdowns with the dishes, presentation etc.

Coffee is creamy and atmosphere is funky

Pluses: coffee was creamy (mine was oat) and did the job, atmosphere was funky and "industrial", staff was courteous but busy! Minuses: food - below average fare that cost way too much. Had the waffle eggs benny and the panini, will not be writing home about either; chai latte was terribly watered down and lacked flavour. Overall: go for coffee.

Popular brunch place

I went there because I saw the high google ratings and reviews. It is no doubt this is a popular brunch place in the city, where you have to wait average 10 mins for a table if you come as couple or a group of more than 2. Like a lot cafes in the city, the place is turned from a warehouse with a mix of modern and rusty style interior. It also has its own merchants. But I have to say the food was average in terms of flavor and variety. A lot cafes in suburbs are much better for the food quality. Maybe I've had too many brunch places and have come picky. But honestly I was a bit disappointed, given google review is so good.

Beautiful Service and Flavourful Food

So we visited Auction Rooms on a weekend, it was buzzing with people but the service was beautiful. We were served our food within 15 minutes and the food was lovely. The breakfast platter was simple but flavourful and the cauliflower vegan dish was so good and it was fresh with so many different elements. Loved it.

Always love to come here for a nice coffee and beautiful food. Staff are always nice and they love to chitchat with you. I love the back room that has a tree inside. Never regret if I decide to visit this cafe.

Excellent Food and Trendy Venue

The quality of the food and coffee at Auction Rooms is excellent and the venue is very trendy. I ordered the French toast with frosted pecans, caramelized banana, whipped cream and bacon with maple syrup. It was sublime. It's a pretty popular destination so you might have to queue up for 10-15 minutes but it's worth the wait.

Rustic and inviting atmosphere. Amazing service. Friendly and attentive staff. The food was delicious and beautifully plated. We had the summer tomatoes, miso baked salmon, eggplant cannelloni and the corned beef hash. The eggplant and tomato dish really stood out for us, both tasted amazing and were filling. It is a bit pricey, but the quality of the food and service definitely made up for it. Definitely give this place a go for a delicious brunch.

The coffee is good as well as the environment. A very relaxing place to chat. However, the meal is not so impressive. The brioche French toast may be too sweet for an Asian stomach.

Absolutely Delicious Salads

Dropped in here for lunch today on the spur of a moment. Ordered chicken salad and black bean and corn salad. Absolutely the best salads we have ever eaten. Fresh and crisp ingredients with just the right amount of dressing etc. Service was too. Would recommend.

Unfortunate Experience with Breakfast

Ordered breakfast on the 17/4 as it was next to our hotel. After 30-40 minutes we hadn't received any food let alone any of the drinks that were ordered or even table water. It wasn't feasible to wait that long as there was only one other small table with patrons. We asked for a refund and we're told we would receive a phone call regarding this as no one on site is permitted to do credit requests. It's been well over 24 hours and still haven't received a call even after going back in to follow up. Wouldn't recommend to anyone.

Amazing cafe and restaurant and bar. Delicious strong coffee. Saw some fancy cocktails whizz past me. Nice jazzy ambience to enjoy a coffee, do some work on your laptop or a relaxing spot to have brunch. The velvet lounge chairs are comfy and the booths are cool too. Staff look smart in their waistcoats and are very helpful and attentive. Very Paris.

Great staff, great ambience. Burger bun was a bit stale and egg white was undercooked. Homemade aioli good though! Oh! Didn't have pizza (what I came in for!)

A Cafe for Fond Memories

I went here after my wife died, Angela was kind and nice, and she didn't deserve to die. For weeks prior, she kept begging me to get time off and go to this cafe with her, as my job gets me out the door early and home late. She loved jazz and music, and life, but I guess God has a will. Rest in peace, darling, the coffee here was good.

This place totally stole my heart (such a lovely place) 😍 I grabbed an iced coffee topped with ice cream because it was scorching outside. If it were closer, I might plant myself there all day. They also had a tempting selection of bakery treats, including cheesecake and croissants. The staff were super friendly so it was more enjoyable.

Consistently Great Experience

I saw this cutely decorated café while walking past and decided to stop there. I was greeted warmly and received my order very quickly. Today, a few weeks later, I went to the Belt Café again and I had the same experience. I like the atmosphere and the positive energy. The oatcap and muffin were delicious.

One of the best i’ve tried in a while. I passed this cafe a few times before but never really tried it until today. I absolutely loved their latte! Welcoming staff, great environment! All the coffee I’ve tried recently has declined in quality and taste, but Belt has maintain that Melbourne Coffee taste I missed! Their coffee definitely has made my day better.
