Been to a few cafe for breakfast in Namba. I would highly recommend to come here. Affordable and is a decent place even tho others may cost higher due to the environment. Took a while to figure out this store was underneath via metro exit.
Nestled halfway up the stairs of Nihonbashi subway station, this charming café serves as a hidden gem for both locals and travelers alike. Its strategic location makes it an ideal pit stop for those exploring the bustling area of Namba. While it may not offer the luxurious ambiance of many surrounding establishments, it offers exceptional value, with a solid breakfast selection that comes at a fraction of the price you might find elsewhere. Visitors have praised the affordability of their meals, noting that it's a decent place to unwind without breaking the bank.
Though its allure is undeniable, the café has received a range of comments regarding its environment. Some reviews mention the slight lingering odor of smoke due to the open smoking room, which is likely to affect sensitive patrons. However, many smokers appreciate the thoughtful separation of smoking and non-smoking areas, making it a favorable choice for those looking to enjoy a meal in a more accommodating environment. The coffee served is another highlight, recognized for its good quality and reasonable pricing, with many guests opting to go big at no extra cost.
The café boasts spacious seating that can comfortably accommodate larger groups, making it a great place for a relaxed breakfast or coffee break with friends or family. The staff, while occasionally described as matter-of-fact, provide efficient service, often greeting diners with a quick smile. There’s also a variety of menu options available in English, making it welcoming for non-Japanese speakers.
As for the food, reviewers have shared that the breakfast set is notably filling, featuring thick slices of toast, fluffy omelets, and savory selections like bacon—all served alongside their well-regarded coffee. Patrons have enjoyed the hearty portions and convenient access to power outlets, trying to make it a laptop-friendly spot for those who want to work while sipping their coffee. Although the cleanliness of the facility received some critique, the café still holds its ground as a worthwhile stop for a quick meal or a coffee break in the vibrant city of Osaka.
